my future is so bright.
I was in the post office a few days ago and the song "My Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades" came on. I have never heard that song anywhere but my own iTunes playlist and the 1988 masterpiece film "My Best Friend is a Vampire".
I got a new freelance job that seems like it's going to be really great. Hopefully I can get the bulk of work out of the way before school starts but I am not too worried, its good to have a distraction from class work.
Also I moved back to Purchase. It's so quiet up here. Hardly anyone is around, but I like it.

Bad day, Badder day.
I write this while on a train to Huntington.
I went into the city today to check out an internship at the Gertrude Stein Theater. It went pretty well. Being the first day there was not much for me to do so I left at 2 or 3. I called everyone in my phone that I know lives in the area to see if someone wanted to hang out but no one answered. I ended up wandering around for 3 hours feeling horrible. I am getting over a cold and my back was killing me from lugging around a really heavy bag. Then Coco finally calls me at like 630. At this point I was on my way to Penn to get the hell out of the city. Her and her friends were just gonna go get drunk or something and with the way I was feeling I did not want to be party to that fiesta.
So I walk into Penn and try to get to the LIRR and the gates are shut. There is a huge crowd of people there trying to get in but the cops wont allow anyone to pass. Apparently there was a fatality at Forest Hills or somewhere around there and all service out of Penn Station was shutdown. So now, feeling like absolute shit, I get on the subway to Jamaica. That was about a half hour ride crammed into a hot subway. Then from Jamaica we took the train out to Huntington, at last we were on our way. Then the train stops at Hicksville and for some weird reason we had to transfer from there and goto Huntington. There are two women talking about all the obvious solutions the LIRR can use to fix this problem and wondering why they are doing nothing to fix it. I am sure these women, with their infinite knowledge of the rail system, know better than people who actually work for the rail company but I guess I have no choice but to sit here and listen to their useless blabber.
So now I am sitting about 50 feet from the Huntington platform waiting for some train rerouting before we can pull in. Then after that it will probably be a 30-40 min drive to my house from there. Hopefully I don't vomit on myself before I get home
